Supporting One Another: Grief and Loss Group
A Different Kind of Loss: Losing someone to suicide can be painful, confusing and overwhelming. Suicide Bereavement is the deep sadness and mourning that often occurs after the loss of a loved one to suicide or self-injurious behavior.
Losing someone to suicide can be painful, confusing, and overwhelming. Grieving the suicide of a loved one is different than grieving other types of loss. However, you can find your way through the grief process and heal with support. You are not alone.
Others who have had your experience may help you through your healing process. Attending a Support Group can:
- Reduce feelings of isolation
- Provide a safe place to explore feelings
- Encourage group members to discover healing is possible
The JPFMF Grief and Loss Support Group Meets Monthly from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. JPFMF offers individual grief counseling as well.

Survivors of Suicide Attempt (SOSA)

Active Parenting Group
This group is intended to support the development of human potential through the family structure by providing parents with the information and skills to foster in their children the qualities necessary for thriving in a democratic society: cooperation, courage, responsibility, and self-esteem.
Who Should Attend: Parents, guardians, caretakers, foster parents, stepparents, etc.
Program Description: Ten-week didactic program, one day a week for 2 ½ hours.
